Why World Coins?

Many times, people who have only collected coins from their home nation will ask me 'Why collect World Coins?'. The reasons why individuals collect World Coins are as innumerable as the individuals themselves, but I can tell you why I collect World Coins. The primary reason has to do with the quality of coin you can obtain for the amount of money you invest. When comparing mintages of equivalent coins, you may ask why one coin is valued at so much more than another in comparable grades. The most common reason for such price gaps is supply and demand. A coin from one country (say for example, the USA) may have far more collectors clamoring for that coin than a coin from another (say for example, British India). For a similar grade and era American coin, it would cost me upwards of $3,000 for a comparable example, while the above coin would cost me a few hundred.
